To some this may seem to be a "typical" Thanksgiving thankfulness post but to me it's much more. I was encouraged to reflect on things that I am thankful for.
Gratitude and Thankfulness can be almost interchangeable.
thankful is someone feeling or showing gratitude.
gratitude the quality of being thankful
Life is crazy. Life is sad. Life is happy. Life is confusing. Life is hard.
In the midst of all these things I need to find thankfulness in my heart because I can't lose hope. Hope "that there is some good in this world and it's worth fighting for" (bonus points if you know this quote)
So here is a list of things that I am THANKFUL for. Here is my good that I am fighting for
1. Addison Grace Ponczoch. This child is a major blessing in my life
2. Levi Samuel Ponczoch. (refer to last post in regards to why)
3. My family. My parents. My siblings. Their significant others. Their children. They bring me joy. They remind me to laugh. And that it is okay to cry.
4. Friends that know my crazy and love me despite of it. Friends that I talk to everyday and friends that I talk to once a month but pick up where we left off. The friends that have walked with me this year.
5. My CDA church family. They have helped me grow the past couple years. Thank you for shaping me. Even when it hurts. For the prayers that have been lifted for Addison
6. My Truckee Church family. Always there. Always present. Always listening.
7. My education. This includes all those I have been touch by through my time spent at Sierra College and Whitworth. It has given me a different perspective on life.
8. The ability to exercise. It gives me the opportunity to blow off some steam
9. Nature. The change of seasons. It makes me realize that all seasons are passing. A new one is around the corner.
10. Tucker. The crazy dog still makes me laugh.
11. The ability to stay home with Addison at this time.
12. A healthy baby.
13. The ability to live a life that meets our needs
14. A relationship with Christ that allows me (and you) to be honest. That allows me to be angry, doubt, and to live in the extremes of knowing I am loved but sometimes not feeling so. Thank God can handle me. At my worst.
These things I am thankful for. When the days are long, I will read this over again to give myself hope. To fight the good fight.
